At least 60 people killed in river accident in Congo
At least 60 people died when a barge carrying more than 700 passengers sank on the Congo River on the night of February 15.
According to Mr. Steve Mbikayi, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo, about 300 people have been found alive after the accident in Mai-Ndombe province, western Democratic Republic of Congo, while about 240 people are still missing.

Mr. Steve Mbikayi also asked the authorities to quickly investigate the cause of the accident and bring those responsible to justice.
