A man suspected of being high on drugs and threatening to throw his child to the ground in Nghe An is being investigated for murder.

On November 22, Vinh City Police detained Le Ngoc Ha (born 1985, residing in block 11, Hong Son ward, Vinh city) for murder.

(Baonghean.vn) - A man wearing only underwear carried a 2-year-old child with one hand across the roof, causing the child to fall onto the corrugated iron roof.

Initial investigation determined that at around 9:45 a.m. on November 21, Le Ngoc Ha carried his son, LNHĐ (born 2017), to a family's boarding house on Nguyen Thuc Tu Street, Tan Hoa Block, Vinh Tan Ward to look for his wife, because 3 days before, his wife left home due to family conflicts.

At this boarding house area, Ha could not find his wife. Because he had used crystal meth, Ha was upset and carried D to the roof of the boarding house, then walked past many other adjacent roofs, screaming as he walked. At the same time, Ha held D's hands and feet and swung them back and forth in the air many times and also held scissors to threaten to attack the child, threatening to throw the victim to the ground.

Upon receiving the information, Vinh City Police organized forces to approach the scene, looking for an opportunity to rescue the child while trying to persuade Ha to stop his behavior, but Ha became more aggressive. He continuously carried the child across many rooftops and threatened to throw him to the ground.

At around 11am, when Ha was carrying D to the roof of the second floor of the house, she slipped and dropped D from the roof onto the corrugated iron roof in front of the yard (about 5m high). Ha immediately jumped down from the corrugated iron roof, picked D up and dropped him onto the yard (about 4m high). Luckily, the police force on duty below successfully caught the child safely. Immediately after that, Ha was restrained by the police and put into the car.

According to the investigation agency, Le Ngoc Ha has a previous conviction related to drugs and is an addict. The case is being handled by Vinh City Police according to their authority.
