Fugitive found in sleeper bus apprehended by traffic police.
On November 15th, during a patrol, a task force from the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police arrested a wanted suspect for illegally trafficking narcotics.
Earlier, at approximately 2 PM on November 14th, while on traffic patrol duty at Km1641+800m on the Ho Chi Minh Highway, in Dun commune, Chu Se district, Gia Lai province, Team 1 of the Gia Lai Provincial Police Department's Traffic Police received a request from the Dong Phu District Police (Binh Phuoc province) to cooperate in apprehending a suspect.wantedHe is currently hiding within the province.
Upon receiving the report, a task force consisting of 5 officers from the Traffic Police Department and 7 officers from the Mobile Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police stopped and inspected the suspicious vehicles.
During an inspection, it was discovered that Nguyen Quang Minh (born in 1989, residing in Thuan Loi commune, Dong Phu district, Binh Phuoc province), a wanted fugitive, was on a sleeper bus with license plate 36B-XXX.XX traveling from Dak Lak to Gia Lai. He is wanted according to Warrant No. 1175/QDTN-DCSMT, dated August 27, 2024, issued by the Criminal Investigation Agency of Dong Phu District Police, Binh Phuoc province, for the crime of illegally trading narcotics.
The Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police coordinated with and handed over Nguyen Quang Minh to the Criminal Investigation Agency of Dong Phu District Police, Binh Phuoc Province, for handling according to regulations.
