Connecting consumption of agricultural, forestry and fishery products, OCOP products of Nghe An province
(Baonghean.vn) - With the participation of 52 units producing 3-4 star OCOP products and 9 product purchasing systems and facilities, the conference was held to help the supply and demand sides have close connections, bringing agricultural products to consumers.
This morning, April 15, in Vinh city, the Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Product Quality Management held a Conference on connecting the consumption of agricultural, forestry and fishery products and OCOP products of Nghe An province in 2023.
The conference was organized to connect distributors, supermarkets, business corporations, convenience food stores, clean food stores inside and outside the province with manufacturers of agricultural, forestry and fishery products, and OCOP products of Nghe An province.
The conference was attended by 52 units, including companies/cooperatives/households producing and processing agricultural, forestry and fishery products, products certified to meet 3-4 star OCOP standards; along with 9 product purchasing systems and facilities.
Through the connection activities, a close link will be created between the units supplying these agricultural products with the systems and facilities purchasing products such as: Supermarket chain/Convenience store chain Wincommecer Group/Winmat+ store chain, LOTTE Mart Vinh supermarket chain, MM Mega Market Nghe An Company, EB Vinh Company Limited (Big C Vinh), Maximak Vinh Supermarket, safe agricultural, forestry and fishery businesses such as Green Market Corner Food Store, Tomato Mart clean food store, Convenience store, representative of Viettel Nghe An Company...

Delegates were also trained, exchanged, and learned about the necessary conditions to improve product quality and image; transaction methods, and conditions for Nghe An agricultural products to be consumed in distribution systems nationwide. The organizing committee and units and enterprises also answered questions from production and business establishments about related legal procedures in connection and consumption activities.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Ha - Head of the Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Product Quality Management informed: Nghe An has some products that have entered the food chain but not many, especially there is a very important market which is e-commerce platforms but the exploitation is not effective; in the past, Nghe An has connected with some platforms but after 2 years, the number of products put on the platform is not significant, the consumption situation on e-commerce platforms is still very limited.

“The conference is held to resolve difficult and complicated issues; help supply and demand sides have direct contact and exchange, create a close connection in product consumption, create a common voice, and bring agricultural products to consumers,” Mr. Nguyen Van Ha emphasized.
At the conference, a number of product consumption orders were signed for implementation in the coming time between participating units.
In the plan from now until the end of the year, Nghe An will continue to organize many activities to connect and promote trade. It is expected that in May 2023, the Conference on connecting the consumption of regional agricultural products nationwide will be held in Nghe An; in November 2023, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will advise the Provincial People's Committee to organize the Nghe An Agricultural Products Introduction Week in Hanoi; support the construction of display booths in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, helping Nghe An agricultural products enter these potential markets...
