Netherlands easily beat Romania, enter quarterfinals
The Netherlands qualified for the quarter-finals of EURO 2024 after defeating Romania 3-0.
After the first 10 minutes or so, the Netherlands gradually took the lead and controlled the match. Coach Ronald Koeman's team put on a lot of pressure with strong attacks on the right wing.
However, the goal came for the Netherlands from a play from the left wing. Cody Gakpo cut inside and fired a shot into the near corner, beating the Romanian goalkeeper to open the scoring.

The one-sided game continued in the second half. Romania tried to push up their formation but their attacking quality was not high. The Netherlands still dominated.
Gakpo scored the second goal against Romania in the 63rd minute. However, the Liverpool player was called offside and the goal was ruled out.
