Europa League results: Jermaine Defoe makes history
With the goal that sealed a 2-0 win over Sheriff, Jermaine Defoe made Tottenham history - equalling Martin Chivers' record of 22 goals in European Cup.
Traveling to Moldova, despite having 7 changes compared to the victory over Aston Villa last weekend, coach Andre Villas-Boas' team still got 2 goals thanks to Vertonghen and Jermain Defoe.

With this victory, Tottenham has set foot in the next round with 9 absolute points after three rounds in Group K, 5 points ahead of the team right behind, Anzhi.
