The 8th Theoretical Workshop between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China ended

As reported, from June 7 to June 9, in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, the Party delegation led by Comrade Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, held the 8th Theoretical Workshop with the Communist Party of China delegation led by Comrade Liu Yunshan, Politburo member, Secretary of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China.

With the theme "Innovation of economic growth model in Vietnam and transformation of economic development method in China", the two delegations focused on analyzing in depth the importance of innovation of growth model and transformation of development method in the process of innovation in Vietnam and reform and opening up in China.

Through four working sessions, the Workshop listened to two important presentations by the two Heads of Delegations of the two Parties, 20 presentations by the two delegations and many frank and enthusiastic exchanges and discussions with a scientific, serious, objective and constructive attitude.

Both delegations affirmed the significance and importance of renewing the growth model and transforming the development method in the process of Vietnam's renovation and China's reform and opening up; at the same time, they focused on clarifying a number of theoretical and practical issues, experiences in renewing the economic growth model and transforming the industrial and agricultural structure; in economic development associated with cultural and social development, environmental protection... with the aim of building and developing an independent and self-reliant economy in the context of Vietnam's international integration; theoretical and practical issues in the process of transforming the economic development method in China to thoroughly implement the scientific development viewpoint of the Communist Party of China.

The two sides also exchanged experiences in combining the transformation of the economic growth model with the improvement of the leadership capacity of the Communist Party of Vietnam; and the transformation of the economic development method with the improvement of the ruling capacity of the Communist Party of China. The two delegations agreed that in the process of promoting the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam and promoting the development of the socialist market economy in China, the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China have had appropriate policies and strategies and have achieved important results and achievements, and have drawn useful experiences in economic development.

However, the two sides also found that there are still many theoretical and practical issues related to the transformation of the economic growth model in Vietnam and the transformation of the economic development method in China that need to be further studied, clarified and resolved through the information channels of the two Parties, especially the theoretical seminars between the two Parties.

Comrade Dinh The Huynh and Comrade Luu Van Son highly appreciated the results of this theoretical conference, emphasizing that theoretical exchange between the two Parties is very necessary and beneficial for the theoretical and practical work of each Party; believing that theoretical work is extremely important in determining the guidelines, directions of activities and development of each Party in the new period; therefore, theoretical exchange is a practical and effective cooperation content between the two Parties, which needs to be maintained and constantly innovated in both content and methods to further improve the quality and effectiveness of this activity in the coming time.

Comrade Dinh The Huynh and Comrade Luu Van Son agreed to hold the 9th Theoretical Workshop in China next year and assigned relevant agencies of both sides to discuss and agree on the theme of the Workshop to soon submit to the leaders of the two Parties.

During their visit to Vietnam, the Chinese Communist Party delegation visited and discussed the situation with the leaders of Quang Ninh province.
