Colonel Luong Cao Khai emphasized: The second joint patrol in the waters adjacent to the demarcation line of the Gulf of Tonkin in 2021 between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the China Coast Guard achieved the set goals and requirements. The results of this patrol contributed to the good implementation of international law, especially the provisions of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and the Agreement on the demarcation of the Gulf of Tonkin, the demarcation of territorial waters, exclusive economic zones and continental shelves of the two countries signed on December 25, 2000. At the same time, the Vietnam Coast Guard believes that this activity will create momentum to promote the continued development of the relationship between the two countries. We hope that the coming time will mark a new stage of increasingly good development of the relationship between the two Parties, the two States and the two peoples in general, and the Coast Guards of the two countries in particular.
