Kim Duyen's ability to enter the top 5 at Miss Universe 2021
After the semi-final round of Miss Universe, Kim Duyen made a strong impression on the judges and international audiences. Many beauty sites and audiences predicted and expected her to go far in the final round taking place on December 13.

On the morning of December 11 (Vietnam time), Runner-up Kim Duyen officially performed "National Costume" at Miss Universe 2021.
The "National Costume" competition took place right after the semi-finals. Despite preparing and waiting for almost a whole day, Kim Duyen maintained her energy and good spirit. She stepped out into the middle of the stage, unfolding the model to form a large circle simulating the filling of banh tet. Compared to her debut in Vietnam, the beauty has more experience, so she is more stable and combines attractive expressions. On the runway, she walked and interacted with the audience around her.
On beauty forums, manyVietnamese fans, especially international fans left many compliments for Kim Duyen's performance. Most fans commented, "Kim Duyen's costume was quite heavy but she kept her balance and charisma well" or "Impressive costume, bright colors on stage and different from other beauties".
Also in the recent semi-final round, Kim Duyen competed with about 80 contestants from countries and territories around the world.
In the opening performance of the semi-final night, Kim Duyen shouted out "Vietnam" twice, and at the same time raised her hand to show her confidence and determination to win, different from the beauties from other countries.
Immediately after that, Kim Duyen showed off her strong catwalk steps, charisma and bright smile in a swimsuit.
In the evening gown competition, Kim Duyen wore a design by designer Le Thanh Hoa called Sparkling River Gown, inspired by the image of water waves reflecting in the sunlight on the Mekong River flowing through her hometown of Can Tho.
During the semi-final night, many beauties almost fell while performing in evening gowns. The Mexican beauty even lost her shoe and had to deal with it while performing. However, Kim Duyen of Vietnam performed quite smoothly, without making any mistakes. Even her final gesture of saying goodbye to the judges and international audience when stepping out to perform was highly appreciated.

As of December 11, Miss Universe contestants have completed important competitions. Kim Duyen also completed the closed interview round with the judges. The beauty used English to answer interview questions related to HIV and COVID-19 in Vietnam. Kim Duyen said that answering in English helped her gain confidence and score points in the eyes of the judges. "In addition to confidently answering completely in English, I can bring excitement to the judges even though I am the last person," she said.
After several rounds of competition, the famous Venezuelan beauty site - Mvlanuevaera made a surprising prediction about the final top 16. Although there are many strong representatives such as India, Brazil, Venezuela or Paraguay... Mvlanuevaera still believes that Kim Duyen will be crowned Miss.
Before the semi-final night, Kim Duyen was predicted by Missosology to be in the top 12 finalists of "Miss Universe" this year.
Thanks to her good performance, Kim Duyen was predicted by many audiences and hoped that she would enter the top 5 - repeating the history made by her senior H'Hen Nie before.
The 70th Miss Universe pageant will select a top 16 instead of a top 21 like last season. Of which, 14 contestants will be decided by the judges and 2 contestants will be voted by the audience. The final night of Miss Universe 2021 is expected to take place on the morning of December 13, Vietnam time.
Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen, 26 years old, won the title of 1st runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 and was appointed to compete in Miss Universe 2021. She left on November 26, quickly entered the competition and maintained good form throughout the journey.
