PV:Dear Doctor! Over the past time, how has the Nghe An Health sector fulfilled the three wishes that Uncle Ho sent in the Letter to the Health Workers Conference on February 27, 1955?

Meritorious Doctor - Doctor CK2 Bui Dinh Long:Following his teachings, over the past 60 years, Nghe An's health sector has constantly tried and strived, and up to now can be proud that the sector has basically met those three wishes of Uncle Ho. Specifically: Nearly 10,000 health workers in the sector are always united, focused, and make efforts to carry out the task of taking care of people's health; creating motivation and high unity for the sector to implement many advanced techniques of the central level, develop many specialized techniques to ensure good medical examination and treatment for people at the grassroots level.

To promote the spirit of loving patients, Nghe An Health sector has promoted the movement to improve medical ethics. Since 2004, the Health sector has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue the Project to Improve Medical Ethics, creating a widespread impact. Up to now, after more than 10 years of implementation, the Project has effectively contributed to improving the quality of patient health care and improving the relationship between patients and doctors. In recent years, the sector has honored more than 150 cadres as "Exemplary Medical Ethics".

To meet the health care needs of the people, Nghe An has built a modern medicine combining traditional medicine, developing widely and intensively. Widely is shown in the consolidation of commune and district health care and improving the quality of provincial health care, both general and specialized. Specialized hospitals have gradually come into operation effectively, promoting well the assigned functions and tasks. In addition, general hospitals have been popularized at the grassroots level with 17 hospitals and 2 medical centers with beds/21 districts, cities and towns. The system of non-public medical examination and treatment facilities (with 9 hospitals, many specialized and general clinics) has contributed to the public health system to increasingly better meet the people's health care needs; regarding the disease prevention system, there are 9 specialized centers at the provincial level, 21 district medical centers; 480 commune health stations perform two functions, disease prevention, implementation of national target programs and initial medical examination and treatment.

Currently, the health care network has been widely covered, with 5,000 village health workers, 3,137 commune health workers, 3,401 district health workers, 3,001 provincial health workers, partly meeting the people's need for medical examination and treatment. Nghe An health sector is gradually moving towards building a family doctor model.

Currently, 2/3 of the health workers in the whole sector are focusing on disease prevention and control. Thanks to that, common infectious diseases such as tetanus, chickenpox, tuberculosis, leprosy have been reduced and controlled. Party committees and authorities at all levels have attached importance, departments and branches have actively participated in disease prevention, rural sanitation and school health have received attention, infectious diseases and environmental diseases have significantly decreased. The propaganda and education to improve knowledge of disease prevention and health care has been promoted, so people's awareness has been raised, creating initiative in disease prevention. The sector always determines: With good prevention, people will not get sick, hospitals will not be overloaded, and the quality of medical examination and treatment will be improved.

Meritorious Doctor - Doctor CK2 Bui Dinh Long:Uncle Ho's ideology aims for a healthcare system that develops both extensively and extensively. Nghe An's healthcare sector is well aware of Uncle Ho's orientation and prognosis and identifies this as an inevitable, reasonable, and lawful development trend. Therefore, the sector has, is, and will continue to build, consolidate, and develop in accordance with this correct orientation. The sector identifies: Extensively here means common diseases that must be detected early and treated early; dangerous, incurable diseases require specialized expertise to treat.

On a large scale, the sector continues to focus on developing commune-level health care. That is, continuing to update and improve the knowledge of more than 5,000 village health workers (most of whom have primary and intermediate qualifications, and many even have college degrees). Further promoting the construction of communes that meet the national criteria for health. At this time, Nghe An has 63.5% of communes, wards and towns meeting the standards. In localities that have met the standards, medical work, infrastructure, equipment, doctors' qualifications and people's awareness have improved, different from communes that have not met the standards. Building communes that meet the national criteria for health is a big and practical goal. The Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An strive to have about 80% of the total number of communes, wards and towns meeting the standards by 2020. At the district level, the health sector focuses on emergency treatment, common diseases and specializes in some areas that can be treated according to capacity. At the provincial level, hospitals will focus on specialized techniques. Currently, the Provincial General Hospital has performed open heart surgery, cardiovascular intervention, organ transplants, the Oncology Hospital has successfully performed bone marrow transplants to treat cancer, and in the near future will develop a radiotherapy system...

In the trend of developing a reasonable, comprehensive and comprehensive healthcare system, Nghe An Health sector focuses on building a team of medical staff sufficient in quantity and meeting quality requirements. Currently, medical staff with college and intermediate degrees have basically met and solved the shortage of doctors.
