Tourists love sticky corn and boiled peanuts.

(Baonghean.vn) – Right in the tourist season, corn and peanuts start to plump up, and farmers in coastal areas harvest them to sell to tourists.

Many communes of Nghi Loc such as Nghi Truong, Nghi Thach, Nghi Thai, Nghi Xuan... are in the spring corn harvest season to sell to tourists. During these holidays, corn sells for a higher price, there are more buyers, many of whom buy it as gifts or go to the beach to eat. Nghi Loc sticky corn is fragrant and sticky, the kernels are plump and still contain milk, which can be used to make corn milk, a nutritious dish in the summer.

This spring crop, the whole district planted 800 hectares. This crop of sticky corn in Nghi Loc is mainly sold to passersby, to customers at beaches and coastal markets.

Sticky corn is grilled or boiled by farmers in the early morning or late afternoon to sell to tourists. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong from Nghi Truong commune, who specializes in buying corn to boil and sell in Cua Lo, said: "Because Nghi Loc corn is famous for its delicious taste, customers love it so it is easy to sell. A day from selling corn, I earn about 150,000 VND."

Not only corn, currently some peanut areas of Nghe An such as Nghi Loc, Dien Chau... have also started harvesting to sell young peanuts to serve tourists. These rustic products not only enrich the market of goods serving tourists but also increase income for farmers.
