International visitors fear toilets and noise at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat

Of the more than 20,700 readers participating in VnExpress's survey, more than 70% rated the quality at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat airports as very bad.

Having just arrived and left Hanoi for the first time via Noi Bai airport at the end of October 2014, Ms. Pamela Duckhouse, an Australian tourist, was most impressed by the noise here.

"The loudspeaker continuously broadcasts information about the flight. At other international airports, information about the boarding gate, the flight's baggage carousel number... is displayed on a board, rarely having to be broadcast. Passengers who need to find their flight information can read it themselves. But here, I don't need to know information about other people's flights, but I still have to listen," said Pamela Duckhouse.

In addition, she said she could not forget another incident with the toilet when she went to use it and discovered there was no toilet paper. The wet floor and the toilet smelled bad, making her feel scared. "This is an unforgettable experience, if it happens again, I will try not to use the toilet at the airport," said Pamela.
