Hotel offers free stay if guests do not use phones
You won't pay a penny for your room if you meet the "sounds easy but is actually very difficult" requirements of the Bellora Gothenburg Hotel (Sweden).
What could be better than traveling and staying for free? It sounds crazy, but it can be true if you are willing to stay away from social media sites like Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter or Instagram...
This is an interesting idea from the Bellora Gothenburg Hotel (Sweden). They have a special room type called "Check Out Suite", helping visitors fully enjoy their vacation with their loved ones instead of glued to their phone screens.

This room is equipped with a smart light called Skarmfri. Based on the color of the light, the hotel can tell how much time you spend on social media. The more time you spend on social media, the more you pay. If you don't use it, you don't pay at all.
"We use this smart lamp to bring healthy living to customers by converting social media time into cash," said Lisa Hoglund, Head of Communications at Lansforsakringar, the insurance company that cooperates with Bellora Hotel.
Upon check-in, guests are asked to connect their phone to the Skarmfri smart lamp via the room’s private WiFi system, where the lamp will change color based on your social media usage.
The first 30 minutes, the light will be white, which is the appropriate time to use the phone for entertainment, according to research by Hotel Design. When the customer uses it for more than 30 minutes, the light will turn red. This is a sign that you will have to pay the full room fee (2,400 SEK/night, about more than 6 million VND).
Of course, in case of not using the phone, the "gods" will enjoy the trip without having to pay for rest.
