Opening of the 52nd training course
(Baonghean) -Last night, October 20, Vinh University held the Opening Ceremony of the 52nd training course and honored excellent students and good students of the 2010-2011 school year.
Attending the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh - Former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, former Minister of Education, President of the Peace and Development Foundation; Prof. Dr. Dinh Quang Bao - Former Principal of Hanoi National University of Education; representatives of sponsors and charitable organizations.
In the 2011-2012 school year, Vinh University has more than 36,000 students and more than 900 civil servants, including more than 4,300 new students of the 52nd course. This is the first school year that Vinh University has been listed as a key university; it is the 5th year of implementing credit-based training for all full-time students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh hoped that teachers and students of Vinh University would strive to promote tradition, improve the quality of education, and be worthy of being a center for training cadres for the North Central region; and that students would strive to study practically, honestly and creatively; and have knowledge to contribute to building their homeland and country.
Associate Professor, Dr. Meritorious Serviceman Dinh Xuan Khoa - Principal of the school warmly welcomed and congratulated former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh on her visit to the school and attending the opening ceremony; at the same time, he advised the students of the 52nd course: "Follow the example of previous generations, determined to achieve the highest results in studying and training; request the collective of civil servants, training faculties, functional departments, and mass organizations of the school to promote the spirit of responsibility, promote cooperation.Study and follow Ho Chi Minh's moral example,"Say no to substandard training that does not meet social needs", raise the spirit"Every teacher is a shining example of morality, self-study and creativity", successfully implemented the theme of the 2011 - 2012 school year"Continue to innovate management, improve training quality".
Also at the ceremony, the school honored 78 students who achieved the title of excellent student, 895 students who achieved the title of good student in the 2010-2011 school year. In addition, organizations and businesses awarded scholarships to 110 excellent students, disabled students, and students with difficult circumstances who have strived to study well, with a total value of nearly 95 million VND.
At the opening ceremony, Vinh University called on all staff, civil servants and students to send text messages to vote for Ha Long Bay as a new natural wonder of the world./.
