Opening of the 2013 summer military semester class
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of June 15, at Regiment 764 under the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Military Command jointly opened the 2013 summer military semester class.
Before the opening ceremony, students came to offer flowers at Ho Chi Minh Square.

Participating in the 2013 “semester in the army” class were 100 students, including 28 female students, aged 12 to 18, from high schools and middle schools across the province. The class took place from June 8 to June 28, 2013.
Throughout the course, students will be equipped with knowledge about national defense, security, political and ideological education, national traditions, and the heroic traditions of the Vietnam People's Army; and participate in the journey to the islands. Students will also learn valuable lessons about discipline, creativity, self-awareness, honesty, courage, sharing, and the will to rise up; lessons about the ability to think independently, and develop feelings for the community and family.

Participating in the military semester class, students are equipped and develop social skills through activities such as picnics, cultural and artistic activities, organizing group work, presentation skills; participating in activities to return to the source, helping families with preferential policies to enhance the responsibility of the young generation to society. At the same time, they learn lessons about folk dance and practice life-loving skills taught by lecturers from the Southern Youth Center.
Students quickly settle into their accommodation.
After the opening ceremony, the students were divided into squads and given their first lesson in housekeeping.
