Opening of surgery for children with cleft lip and cleft palate
On the morning of May 16, in Vinh City, the Provincial Children's Fund in collaboration with Hospital 115, Nghe An Association of Outstanding Enterprises, Vietnam Cuba Hospital and Operation Smile opened a surgery campaign for children with cleft lip and cleft palate in the province.
Within 5 days, 160 children were examined and 100 to 120 children were assigned to have surgery. In addition to supporting the cost of surgery, Operation Smile Vietnam also supported each child with 350,000 VND for food and travel expenses. Children who were not eligible for surgery were supported with travel expenses; the Association of Outstanding Enterprises supported each child with 300,000 VND for surgery.
