Opening of Football Tournament to celebrate Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day June 21

(Baonghean.vn) -In commemoration of the 87th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2012), this morning, June 14, at the Provincial Labor Culture House Stadium, Nghe An Journalists Association organized the opening ceremony of the Football Tournament for press agencies located in Nghe An province. Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications.

The organizers presented souvenir flags to the participating teams.

This is one of the annual activities of Nghe An Journalists Association towards its traditional day. The tournament is organized with the spirit of physical exercise, sports, and health training following the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh, contributing to the successful completion of the work of the members, strengthening solidarity and exchanging with colleagues.

This year's tournament has 5 teams: Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Radio and Television Station, Nghe An Public Security Newspaper, Military Region IV Newspaper, and the joint force of central press agencies stationed in the area. The teams draw lots and compete in a round robin, each team has 7 players, each match lasts 20 minutes.

Nghe An Newspaper (yellow shirt) and Provincial TV Station (white shirt) brought the audience an exciting match.

After the opening ceremony, the first two matches took place. The Nghe An Radio and Television Station team met the Nghe An Newspaper, ending with a score of 2-0; the Nghe An Public Security Newspaper met the Military Region IV Newspaper, ending with a score of 2-2.

The tournament will close and award prizes on June 16.
