Opening of Nghe An First Division Amateur Football Tournament 2015

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 7, the opening ceremony of the 2015 Nghe An First Division Football Tournament took place in Vinh city. This tournament was organized by the Nghe An Amateur Football Association, with Van Minh Company Limited as the main sponsor.

Participating in the tournament are 35 local amateur football clubs with more than 500 athletes, including a number of players currently playing in professional leagues who also took advantage of the V.League's temporary break to join in the fun, such as: Nguyen Quang Tinh, Vo Ngoc Duc, Vo Ngoc Toan, Truong Van Thanh (SLNA team 1); Tran Thai Ton (SLNA U19 team)...

35 teams participated in the tournament.

Currently, in Nghe An, there are about 200 amateur football clubs operating regularly. To create a healthy and useful playground for the clubs, on November 20, 2014, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee signed a decision to establish Nghe An Amateur Football Association (this is the first official amateur football association in the country).

Immediately after its launch, Nghe An Amateur Football Association has organized many meaningful tournaments such as: Football Tournament for the Poor, raising tens of millions of VND to support families in difficult circumstances; Vinh League 2015 Football Tournament for 12 strongest amateur football clubs in the area, competing in a round-robin format like professional tournaments. This is an attractive football tournament, sponsored by Chuong Duong Beverage Company with 100 million VND, attracting many famous players to participate, such as Van Quyen, Huy Hoang, Quoc Vuong, Hoang Thinh, Khac Ngoc.

The Nghe An Province First Division Football Tournament is also the first model in the country, 35 teams compete in a draw format, playing in pairs in a round-robin format; the two strongest teams that make it to the final will have the opportunity to win tickets to participate in the Vinh League 2016, in which the champion of the First Division will win a ticket to the next-to-last place in the Vinh League 2015 rankings, while the second-placed team will compete in a play-off match for a ticket with the team ranked second to last in the Vinh League 2015 rankings.

The 2015 Nghe An First Division Football Tournament will take place at Viet An Vocational College Stadium until May 29 with a total of 50 matches. In addition to the promotion to Vinh League, the champion team will also be awarded a trophy and 7 million VND, the second-place team will be awarded 5 million VND and the two third-place teams will be awarded 2 million VND.
