Youth - Children Football Tournament - Nghe An Newspaper CupThe 25th edition in 2023 is co-organized by Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports, Nghe An Department of Education and Training and Song Lam Nghe An Football Joint Stock Company.

This year's tournament takes place from June 9, 2023 to June 16, 2023; with the participation of 28 football teams (9 youth teams, 19 children's teams) from 20 districts, cities, and towns, with nearly 400 athletes.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the tournament, comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament warmly welcomed the athletes, teams and football fans of the province who came to attend and witness the tournament.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Nghe An province supported the tournament organization costs and gave gifts to the children with a total amount of 200 million VND, accordingly giving each athlete a pair of students.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province presented 18 bicycles to 18 players who are children of poor and near-poor households and students with especially difficult circumstances.

The tournament organizers coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province to present 20 gifts to students of SOS Children's Village Vinh, each gift worth 1 million VND. The tournament organizers presented Certificates of Merit and 98 gifts worth 500,000 VND/gift to 98 players who achieved the title of "Good student, good soccer player".

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the first youth match took place between the youth team of Cua Lo town and the youth team of Do Luong district./.
