Participating in the mini badminton and volleyball tournament on the sand of the Cua Lo tourism festival 2012 were over 250 athletes from 20 districts, cities, towns and agencies: Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial Labor Federation. The mini volleyball tournament on the sand had 19 teams, divided into 6 groups, with a round-robin format to calculate points, selecting the first and second teams from each group to compete in the semi-finals and finals. The badminton tournament was divided into 4 groups, competing in the men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, with a round-robin format to calculate points and selecting the first and second teams from each group to compete in the semi-finals and finals. Immediately after the opening ceremony, badminton matches took place at the Cua Lo town gymnasium. Before that, the mini volleyball tournament on the sand also started at the beach soccer field, opening a series of cultural and sports activities to welcome the new tourism season 2012.
