Opening of the 6th Nghe An Open Tennis Tournament
(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon, March 29, in Vinh City, the opening ceremony of the 6th Nghe An Open Tennis Tournament for the VNPT Cup 2013 took place.
Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.
The tournament had the participation of 28 delegations and 178 athletes.
Comrade Lo Trung Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism read the opening speech of the award.
Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented flowers to the award sponsors.
Comrades Nguyen Xuan Duong and Huynh Thanh Dien participated in the competition in the leadership category of the state administrative sector.
The organizers presented souvenir flags to the teams participating in the tournament.
The Nghe An Open Tennis Tournament is a traditional tournament, included in the annual competition plan of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This year’s tournament brings together 28 delegations with 178 athletes, 8 more than in 2012 with 78 athletes, with the participation of leaders of the state administrative sector. The athletes will compete in 9 categories, including: state administrative management leaders, business leaders, grassroots groups, female doubles and premier events…
The tournament is an opportunity for tennis athletes inside and outside the province to exchange, learn from each other and evaluate sports training in clubs and departments and branches across the province.
The tournament will run until March 31, 2013.
