Opening of the National First Class Chess Championship

On April 3, in Vung Tau city (Ba Ria-Vung Tau province), the 2015 National First Class Chinese Chess Championship opened.

The tournament promises to have many exciting competitions with high professional quality.

The tournament gathered 48 male players and 17 female players from 11 traditional Chinese chess teams such as: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Binh Duong, Ministry of Public Security... Coming to this year's tournament, the Ba Ria-Vung Tau delegation has 4 players including: two national masters Duong Nghiep Luong, Nguyen Dai Thang; reserve master Le Phan Trong Tin and Nguyen Thanh Tuan - national level 1 player.

Players will compete in 2 individual championship categories for men and women in 11-round format for men and 9-round format for women.

With the gathering of almost all the strong players of the country today such as Dao Cao Khoa, Lai Ly Huynh (Binh Duong), Trenh A Sang (Ho Chi Minh City), Vo Van Hoang Tung (Da Nang) in the men's category; Nguyen Phi Liem (Binh Duong), Pham Thu Ha (Hanoi), Nguyen Hoang Yen, Dam Thi Thuy Dung (Ho Chi Minh City) in the women's category, the tournament promises to have many exciting competitions with high professional quality.

Through this tournament, based on achievements, the Organizing Committee will select players to participate in national and international tournaments in 2015.

The tournament runs until April 10.
