(Baonghean.vn)On the evening of September 19, the opening ceremony of the 2012 National Men's and Women's Kickboxing Championship took place in Vinh City. Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, representatives of several departments, agencies and sectors of Nghe An province.

This year's tournament has 19 delegations from provinces, cities and sectors nationwide with more than 150 athletes competing in 12 weight categories for men and 9 weight categories for women. The host team Nghe An participates in the tournament with 18 athletes and aims to be in the top 3 of the entire delegation.

The 2012 National Men's and Women's Kickboxing Championship is part of the competition program of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training. This is an opportunity to evaluate the professional level of athletes nationwide in order to prepare for the Asian Games in 2013 and other international competitions.
