Before the conference, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung also shared about the significance of organizing the National Cultural Conference in the current context.
Minister Nguyen Van Hung said: 2021 is a year of many important political events for our country. This is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, concretizing the 10-year socio-economic development strategy of the country as determined by the Party Resolution.
The 13th National Congress of the Party has outlined the country's development path until 2030, the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, and until 2045, the 100th anniversary of the country's founding, and set a goal that by that time our country must be a developed industrial country.
In addition to the significance of the first year of implementing the Party's Resolution, we also see the advantages and challenges of the domestic and international situation. Our country has had to face the widespread Covid-19 pandemic, especially since April 2021, the fourth outbreak has caused great damage, including to the culture, sports and tourism sectors. However, with the leadership of the Party and the consensus of the people, up to this point we have gradually controlled the epidemic to bring the country into a new normal state, adapting safely, and controlling flexibly and effectively.
Furthermore, in the process of implementing the Resolution, it must be closely linked to important events of the country. The entire Party, the entire army and the entire people will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the day Uncle Ho organized the first National Cultural Festival. Accordingly, we organize the National Cultural Conference whose most important goal is to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party on culture. This is also one of the tasks of all Party organizations under the leadership of the Politburo and the Secretariat. Therefore, this conference is of historic significance.
