Opening of the National Defense and Militia Sports Festival
(Baonghean.vn) -In order to create a vibrant competitive atmosphere to celebrate major holidays of the year, on the morning of May 15, the Military Command of Quy Hop district held the opening ceremony of the "2013 Quy Hop District Militia and Self-Defense Sports Festival".
150 athletes are officers and self-defense soldiers from 19 self-defense units participating in the sports festival. During 2 days (May 15-16), athletes will participate in the following events: grenade throwing, AK shooting, CKC shooting, crossbow shooting (men and women), 3,000m running (men), 1,500m running (women).

Through the sports festival, management skills will be improved, physical training and sports movements of the militia and self-defense force at the grassroots level will be created; training of militia and self-defense cadres will be organized, meeting the requirements of training tasks, being ready to fight in the new situation and selecting collectives and individuals with achievements to form the provincial team to participate in the "2013 Provincial National Defense Sports Festival".
