Opening of the Provincial Excellent Teacher Competition for High School Level, 2011-2015 Period
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, December 31, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training held the opening ceremony of the Provincial Excellent Teacher Competition for High School Level, 2011-2015 period. Participating in the competition were 1,024 teachers from 90 high schools in the province in 12 subjects in the general education program.
The contest is held every four years to select and honor teachers who have achieved the title of excellent teachers. Thereby, it aims to launch a vibrant emulation movement in teaching and learning in high schools; motivate and encourage teachers to promote their creativity, promote the emulation movement of good teaching - good learning, build a model of innovative teaching methods in high schools, contributing to promoting the improvement and enhancement of teaching quality and management quality. This is also one of the bases for assessing the current status of the team, thereby helping high schools to develop training and fostering plans to improve the expertise and professionalism of teachers, meeting the needs of educational innovation.
Teachers participating in the competition will have to go through three parts: Report on innovative experiences or results of applied pedagogical scientific research evaluated in 4 school years (from 2008-2009 to 2011-2012); Professional competence test and Teaching practice. Regarding teaching practice, teachers must achieve a minimum score of 16/20 points or higher in the professional competence test and have a minimum SKKK score of 60/100 points to be eligible to participate in the teaching practice test.
The provincial competition for excellent high school teachers for the 2011-2015 period is expected to take place from now until the end of February 2012.
