(Baonghean.vn) - On December 22, many districts, cities and towns opened the year-end People's Council meeting to evaluate the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in 2015 and resolve solutions to achieve goals and targets in 2016.

Tan Ky:23/24 socio-economic targets achieved and exceeded

On the morning of December 22, 2015, Tan Ky District People's Council held the opening ceremony of its 17th session. Attending the session were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai - National Assembly delegate of the 13th term; Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Provincial People's Council delegate of the 16th term, running for election in Tan Ky district.

In 2015, Tan Ky had 23/24 targets in the fields of socio-economics, national defense and security achieved and exceeded the set plan.

Total production value is estimated at over 4,565.5 billion VND, up 9.2% compared to 2014 and equal to 100% of the plan; budget revenue in the area reached over 35 billion VND, equal to 102% of the plan; average added value per capita reached 22.4 million VND, up 2.3 million VND compared to 2014; The poverty rate decreased to 9.7%.

Recently, Tan Ky has focused on attracting investment to develop industry, handicrafts, trade and services, thanks to which, many projects have been started and put into operation such as starting construction of roofing tile and cotto tile factory in Nghia Dung commune; putting into use the tunnel brick factory in Ky Son commune; completing and putting into operation the Tan Ky Km0 Trade and Service Center...

The new rural construction program has been actively implemented by localities in the district. As a result, each commune has achieved an average of 11.86 criteria, with 4 communes meeting new rural standards. The cultural and spiritual life of the people continues to improve, and national defense and security are maintained.

On the morning of December 22, the People's Council of Quynh Luu district, term XVIII, held its 14th session. On the morning of December 22, 2015, the People's Council of Hung Nguyen district held the 13th session of the 18th term 2011-2016.

Economic growth rate in 2015 reached 6.8%. Average income per capita reached 24.5 million VND, an increase of 2 million VND over the same period. Investment promotion activities have changed positively, major projects have been started such as VSIP7, 72m Road, Yen Xuan Bridge, creating important momentum for development in the district.

The total value of construction investment capital reached 968 billion VND, up 16% over the same period; Total budget revenue in the area reached 121.4 billion VND, equal to 112.4% of the estimate. The new rural construction program continued to be promoted, with the people's support. In 2015, it is expected that 6 more communes will reach the new rural finish line.

Resolution on approving the labor export project for the period 2016-2020, resolution on handling the results of reviewing legal documents that expired in 2015 or earlier; resolution on stipulating a number of policies and family planning regimes in the district and resolution on approving a number of socio-economic policies and mechanisms in the district for the period 2016-2020.

On the morning of December 22, the 18th term People's Council of Yen Thanh district, 2011-2016 term, opened its 13th session. Attending the meeting were elected provincial People's Council delegates in constituency No. 3; Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Yen Thanh District Party Committee and 47 district People's Council delegates.

In 2015, Yen Thanh continued to develop in all areas. The economy continued to grow well, with a growth rate of nearly 12%, and total production value at comparable prices reaching over VND9,400 billion, up 11.29% over the same period last year.

Currently, there are 533/708 criteria meeting new rural standards, of which 13 communes have met the standards, 6 communes have met 15-18 criteria, 11 communes have met 10-14 criteria; Son Thanh commune is one of 3 communes selected by the Provincial People's Committee to build a model new rural commune in the period 2015-2020.

There have been many positive changes in social culture, and the quality of education has been increasingly improved. Social policy, job creation, poverty reduction, and social security have achieved many results; the poverty rate has decreased to 6.3%, meeting the set target.

Hoang Mai Town: Production value reaches nearly 7,000 billion VND

On the morning of December 22, the opening session of the 6th session of the People's Council of Hoang Mai town, term I, 2011 - 2016, took place. During the 2-day session, the session will approve reports on the implementation of economic, social, defense and security tasks in 2015 and tasks and solutions for 2016; along with many other important reports and contents.

According to the report at the meeting, in 2015, the economy and society of Hoang Mai town accelerated development, the economic structure shifted in the right direction, investment attraction achieved many important initial results, culture and society had many new progressive features; national defense was ensured, political security, social order and safety were stable; 24/26 main targets of the 2015 plan were achieved and increased compared to the plan as well as 2014.

In terms of economy, the total production value for the year is estimated at 6,895 billion VND, equal to 107.29% of the plan, up 18.23% compared to 2014. Trade and service activities are quite vibrant, attracting 35,000 tourists to Hoang Mai. The whole year's fisheries are estimated at over 777 billion VND, up 8.99% compared to 2014, many areas continue to grow such as seafood exploitation, aquatic breed production, industrial shrimp farming...

Investment attraction work has been focused on and achieved many important results. In Dong Hoi Industrial Park, two major projects of driving nature have been implemented, namely Hoa Sen Steel Plant Project and Quynh Lap Thermal Power Plant Project.

In Quynh Vinh, Vietnam Textile and Garment Group has also started construction of Vinatex Hoang Mai Garment Factory. In the field of commercial services, there are also many projects that have been and are being implemented, typically the Muong Thanh Hoang Mai hotel, service and trade complex project and dozens of other small and medium-sized projects that are completing investment procedures.

The cultural and social fields continued to have many remarkable changes. The work of hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and job creation achieved many encouraging results. During the year, nearly 1,600 workers had new jobs, 225 workers were exported, nearly 500 rural workers were trained, and the poverty rate dropped to 3.37%.

On December 23, the People's Council of Hoang Mai town will continue to discuss in the hall and spend a lot of time answering questions on issues that delegates and voters are interested in.
