Opening of the 2nd session, People's Council of Hoang Mai Town

In his opening speech, comrade Doan Hong Vu - Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the Town People's Council stated: In the context of the newly established Hoang Mai town, this session of the Town People's Council is of great importance, it will evaluate the implementation of tasks in 2013, tasks and solutions in 2014, demonstrate the determination, efforts and striving to accelerate the development of Hoang Mai town, with the goal of becoming a type III urban area.

On behalf of the Town People's Committee, Comrade Nguyen Huu Tuy - Chairman of the Town People's Committee presented a report on the implementation of socio-economic tasks in 2013, tasks and solutions in 2014. Accordingly, in 2013, although in the context of Hoang Mai town newly established and put into operation after 5 months, many difficulties and challenges were posed, but with the high responsibility of each member of the Town People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches, communes and wards; together with the attention, direction and timely support of the province, the socio-economic situation of the town has achieved positive results. Most of the planned targets were achieved and exceeded (18/25 targets were achieved and exceeded the plan). The total estimated production value for the year reached 5,772 billion VND, equal to 100.8% of the plan. The scale and quality of education were maintained; disease prevention and control were strengthened; Social security policies are implemented fully, promptly, and to the right subjects. The political security situation and social order and safety have changed for the better....

The meeting also approved a report reviewing the direction and management in 2013 and the work program in 2014; the budget revenue and expenditure situation in 2013, the budget revenue and expenditure estimate in 2014; a report on the activities of the Town People's Council in 2013 and the key work program in 2014; a report on the work of the Front participating in government building and reflecting the opinions and recommendations of voters sent to the meeting.

On the afternoon of December 19, 2013, the Town People's Council divided into groups to discuss issues related to economy, society and environment.
