Opening of Qua Son Temple Festival

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 27 (January 20), the Qua Son Temple Festival (Boi Son commune, Do Luong district) officially opened.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Do Luong district and tens of thousands of people and tourists from inside and outside the province.

Qua Son Temple was built under the Ly Dynasty, worshiping Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang - a man who had many contributions to building his homeland Nghe An and expanding the territory of Dai Viet nation.The temple is famous not only for its historical and artistic value but also for its large and sacred scale.

With such great historical significance, every year on January 19, 20 and 21, the people of Bach Ngoc area (6 communes) of Do Luong district enthusiastically organize the procession of the Saint from Qua Son Temple to Ba But Pagoda. With its grand scale, Qua Son Temple Festival satisfies spiritual needs and aspirations, and is a beautiful feature of the province's countryside.
