Opening of the Nghe An Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival, cluster 3
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of August 11, 2014, in Hung Nguyen district, the People's Committee of Nghe An province - Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen district to organize the opening ceremony of the Nghe An Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival, cluster 3.
Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, comrade Ho Mau Thanh - Provincial Party Committee Member - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders, departments and branches of Hung Nguyen district, clubs, artisans, actors and a large audience to watch and cheer.

Participating in the Vi and Dam folk song festival in Hung Nguyen this year are 40 performances by 12 clubs from 5 districts, cities and towns including Vinh City, Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau and Cua Lo. The festival takes place on August 11 and 12, 2014. The clubs and artists will bring to the public folk songs of Nghe An such as: hat phuong vai, hat dao duyen, vi do dua, hat doi which are imbued with Nghe An identity. Through the festival, the clubs and artists will have the opportunity to express the spiritual and cultural values that have been ingrained in the blood and flesh of the people from generation to generation.
