Opening of the 5th Festival of Ethnic Culture and Tourism of Nghe An Province

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of December 16, in Vinh City, the Provincial Border Guard Command and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province held the Opening Ceremony of the 5th Festival of Propaganda of Cultures of Ethnic Groups in the Border and Coastal Areas of Nghe An Province in 2013. Attending the opening ceremony were Comrade Cao Dang Vinh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Colonel Nguyen Van Tuy, Political Commissar of the Nghe An Border Guard.

The festival is attended by more than 240 cadres, male and female actors who are the core artists from 24 Border Guard units and localities, sister units on the two borders of the province. The cultural and sports groups participate in each program for a maximum of 40 minutes, including the following types: singing, dancing, music, drama.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Festival, Colonel Nguyen Van Tuy, Political Commissar of Nghe An Border Guard, emphasized: The Festival of Cultural and Information Groups of ethnic groups in the border and coastal areas of Nghe An province, held every 5 years, is an opportunity for us to review and evaluate the results of cultural and information work at the grassroots level in recent times.

The organizers presented souvenir flags to the delegations participating in the festival.

In particular, this Festival is an opportunity to prepare for the 20-year summary of the implementation of the coordination program between the two sectors, thereby proposing measures to promote the movement, improve the quality and effectiveness of cultural propaganda activities in the coming time, creating a combined strength in building and protecting the national border. At the same time, it is an opportunity for units to learn from each other, unite, and be friendly, singing and dancing with unique regional cultural nuances..., continuing to build and promote the effectiveness of the activities of the Cultural and Information Groups with the goal of: Promoting information and propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and local regulations to the army and people of the border and coast, building a solid People's Border Defense and a solid People's Border Defense posture. Contributing to the cause of building and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
