Opening of the exhibition of propaganda paintings to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army
The exhibition introduces 150 propaganda paintings by professional and amateur artists selected nationwide.
On the afternoon of December 16, at Ho Chi Minh Square, the Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province to organize the opening ceremony of a large-scale propaganda painting exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), relevant departments, branches and units, along with a large number of officers and soldiers of the armed forces, and people from all walks of life in the province.

In his opening speech, comrade Nguyen Quoc Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture affirmed: In 2024, our country will celebrate the 80th anniversary ofVietnam People's Army Founding Dayand 35 years of National Defense Day. This is an important event to widely propagate and educate the entire Party, people and army about the glorious history of building and developing the Vietnam People's Army; the position, role and importance of the masses in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland and the great achievements of the cause of building the national defense; affirming the comprehensive and absolute leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh as an important factor ensuring the victory of the revolutionary cause and in the growth, fighting and victory of the Vietnam People's Army.

The exhibition of large-scale propaganda paintings to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day introduces 150 propaganda paintings by professional and amateur artists selected nationwide.

Through language, images and colors, the works have conveyed profound propaganda about the meaning of the anniversary. Many typical works include: "Determined to Win" by artist Nguyen Cong Quang (Hanoi); "Peace on the Homeland's Islands" by author Hien Luong (Hanoi); "The Army and the People Have One Will" by author Nguyen Tuan Long - Army; "Proud of Uncle Ho's Soldiers" by author Ha Huy Chuong (Hai Duong)...

The works at the exhibition arouse patriotism, national pride, self-esteem, the spirit of determination to fight and win of the Vietnam People's Army, the responsibility of cadres, party members and people for the task of building the army, strengthening national defense, protecting the Fatherland in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, meeting the requirements of the task of protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland in the new period.
