Opening of Lifelong Learning Week
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 2, in Dien Binh commune (Dien Chau district), the Department of Education and Training held the Opening Ceremony of the Lifelong Learning Response Week 2015.The week aims to promote reading culture in schools and communities.
Representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, provincial departments and branches, leaders of Dien Chau district and a large number of people from Dien Binh commune attended the opening ceremony.

With the theme: “Join hands to build a library, regularly read many good books”, this year’s opening ceremony was held at the Vo Dai Ton family library, Hau Luat village, Dien Binh commune (Dien Chau). This library has been in operation since 2010 with more than 4,000 valuable books, an encouraging community library model.
Not only meeting the reading needs of the family, this place has also become the library of the village and the local people. From the Vo family model, up to now, in Dien Chau district, there have appeared many more libraries of other families, family libraries, personal bookcases...

The Lifelong Learning Week is an annual activity, aiming to regularly raise awareness of all classes of people and communities about lifelong learning and building a learning society. Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the Department of Education and Training suggested that school leaders and local people, depending on their conditions, spend time reading books, building school libraries, family libraries, clan libraries and personal bookcases. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the organizing committee launched a campaign to donate books to the primary and secondary school libraries of Dien Binh commune and the Vo clan library.

Lifelong Learning Week 2015 was launched and held nationwide from October 2 to 9. In response to the launching week, next week, educational institutions across the province will spend appropriate time to organize activities to introduce good books, donate books, introduce library models and many cultural and artistic activities, organize book reading festivals, etc.
