Opening of Nhan Dan Newspaper's permanent office in Cambodia
This morning (October 16) in Phnom Penh, Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Central Agency of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the voice of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, opened its Permanent Office in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Thuan Huu, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, stated: The opening of Nhan Dan Newspaper's Permanent Office in Phnom Penh aims to promote information on the policies of the Party and State of Vietnam, exchange and disseminate the achievements of socio-economic development of each country; ensure timely and rapid reflection of all aspects of political, economic and social life of Vietnam and Cambodia, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.
For his part, Cambodian Minister of Information Khieu Kanharith emphasized that since the early days after the country and people of Cambodia escaped the genocide in 1979, Nhan Dan newspaper, along with other Vietnamese press agencies such as Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam News Agency, etc., have always accompanied and helped Cambodia build and develop a diverse press as it is today.
Since the 1980s, the Cambodian People's Newspaper has been one of the largest newspapers in Cambodia at that time.
Cambodian Information Minister Khieu Kanharith said: “It can be said that Nhan Dan newspaper has had a relationship with the people and the media sector of Cambodia for a long time. Today, Nhan Dan newspaper opens a permanent office in Cambodia, which is a further tightening of the close relationship between the information systems of our two countries.”
This is the fifth permanent office of Nhan Dan newspaper abroad, after permanent offices in France, China, Thailand and Laos.
