Opening of the Press Center to serve the National Day Celebration September 2

The press center serving the reporting of activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2015) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2015) is located in the National Assembly Building, Hanoi, directed by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan.

According to Mr. Truong Minh Tuan, the Anniversary is a particularly important event of the country, the Press Center is committed to creating the best conditions for reporters of press agencies to report on this occasion.

The celebration includes two main activities: offering incense in memory and a rally, parade and march.

Specifically, at 7:00 a.m. on September 1, 2015, the delegation of leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Hanoi City will offer incense at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Martyrs Monument, Hanoi City.

The rally, parade and march will be held at Ba Dinh Square and several streets in Hanoi at 7:00 a.m. on September 2, 1945. The program will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam.

The parade program has the participation of the people's armed forces (army, police, guerrillas, militia, self-defense forces), and mass forces representing social components and forces including: veterans, workers, farmers, intellectuals, businessmen, youth, women and ethnic groups of Vietnam.

This important event attracted about 550 press agencies to participate in reporting, including 50 foreign press agencies.

According to the Organizing Committee, the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) aim to educate the nation on the tradition of patriotism, self-reliance, and aspiration for peace; promote the spirit of great national unity; express deep gratitude to the generations who sacrificed their blood for national independence and unification; and affirm the determination of the entire Party, people, and army in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
