Free medical examination and treatment for nearly 400 elderly people in Do Luong district
(Baonghean.vn) - From December 19 to 21, the Department of Population and Family Planning organized medical examinations, nutrition consultation, exercise and health care for nearly 400 elderly people in Do Luong district.
This is one of the activities in Plan No. 369/KH-UBND dated June 22, 2017 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on implementing the Project on Health Care for the Elderly in Nghe An Province for the period 2017 - 2025 and responding to the National Action Month on Population in 2017, celebrating Vietnam Population Day December 26.

In this program, in addition to regular health check-ups, the elderly in Hoa Son, Van Son, Trung Son communes of Do Luong district also received ear, nose, throat endoscopy, electrocardiogram and many other modern techniques. In addition, the program also provided free medicine to all subjects with a total value of nearly 50 million VND.
This activity aims to help the elderly recognize their health status and treatment methods, while providing knowledge about proper nutrition and exercise for the elderly.

At the same time, this is also an opportunity for communication and consultation to contribute to raising the understanding of leaders and people at the grassroots level about the policies and laws of the Party and State related to the elderly; promoting the responsibility of individuals, families and society in improving physical and mental health to contribute to promoting and improving the quality of life of the elderly.
