Discover 2 gangs specializing in stealing telecommunication cables
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 5, the Investigation Police Agency of Anh Son District Police announced that it had arrested two groups of telecommunication cable thieves in the area.
According to the police, recently, in the communes of Long Son, Cao Son, Cam Son, Tuong Son (Anh Son district), there have been consecutive cases of telecommunication cable theft. The district police have established Project 211T, coordinating with the commune police to organize patrols, ambushes, and search for the subjects.
The subjects were detained.
After more than 3 months of collecting information and consolidating evidence, on March 20, the Anh Son Police Investigation Team arrested the following subjects: Dang Quang Huynh (born in 1990) of Anh Son Tea Enterprise in Long Son Commune; Tran Quang Hieu (born in 1992), Le Huy Sam (born in 1992), both residing in Hamlet 10, Cao Son Commune; Ha Huy Vinh (born in 1989) of the Youth Volunteer Force I - Long Son. These subjects confessed that from the beginning of 2012 until now, they have committed 14 cases of cutting off communication lines in the areas of Anh Son and Thanh Chuong districts, taking copper to sell to Le Van Hung (born in 1996, in Hamlet 1, Nam Son Commune, Do Luong District). The total damage caused by the subjects was more than 150 million VND. On April 4, the Investigation Police Agency temporarily detained Le Van Hung for the crime of receiving property obtained by others through crime.
Previously, on March 20, the district police coordinated with Cam Son commune police to arrest two subjects: Nguyen Van Tu (born in 1993) and Hoang Ngoc Cuong (born in 1989, both residing in Cam Loi village, Cam Son commune, Anh Son). Through the investigation, the subjects confessed that within one week (from March 23 to 30), they had committed 4 cable thefts, causing a loss of 70 million VND.
Currently, the subjects are being detained at the district police station for further investigation and clarification to be handled according to the law.
