(Baonghean.vn) - The Nghe An Museum currently houses more than 25,000 valuable artifacts. This is the result of nearly 40 years of collecting, preserving, and museum work. According to the plan, after the completion of the interior and exterior construction project of the Nghe An Museum, these artifacts will be displayed for the public to visit.

Most were discovered in five mountainous districts, along both banks of the Hieu River, and were found incidentally during agricultural activities such as irrigation, transportation, construction, sand and gravel mining, or gold mining. The remaining drums were discovered along the Lam River during the first and second excavations at the Lang Vac archaeological site in Nghia Hoa commune, Nghia Dan district. |

| To date, the museum has collected and preserved more than 25,246 documents and artifacts (including 17,464 artifacts, 6,671 documents and images, and 1,111 specimens of plants and animals) from various historical periods, largely meeting the needs for research and exhibition. The artifacts include many materials such as stone, bronze, iron, terracotta, ceramics, bone, paper, fabric, stuffed animals, rattan, bamboo, leaves, wood, etc. |

| This embroidered painting was found in Con Cuong. Hand-embroidered, it is an extremely valuable artifact. The Vietnam Historical Museum also has similar embroidered paintings, but they are much smaller than those currently preserved in Nghe An. |
