Free heart screening in Hung Nguyen

(Baonghean.vn) - On May 30, 2012, at the Hung Xa Commune Health Station, Hung Nguyen District - doctors from Nghe An General Hospital in collaboration with Hanoi Heart Hospital conducted free screening for communes in Hung Nguyen District.

In preparation for the next humanitarian heart surgery program, Nghe An General Hospital cooperated with Hanoi Heart Hospital to conduct free heart screening for children under 16 years old for humanitarian heart surgery and cardiovascular disease screening for adults. Right in the first examination session at Hung Xa point, including 3 communes: Hung Xa, Hung Long and Hung Linh, hundreds of people were present for medical examination.

Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Deputy Director of Nghe An General Hospital said: This is a program within the Politburo's program to protect, care for and improve people's health in the new situation. In the past time, Nghe An General Hospital in collaboration with Hanoi Heart Hospital organized cardiovascular disease screening for nearly 10,000 students and successfully performed open heart surgery for 9 cases in the whole province. Of which, in Hung Nguyen district, there were 2 cases, now the children are completely healthy and have hearts and health like other normal children.

It is known that this medical examination was held in Hung Nguyen from May 30 to June 3, 2012.
