Free examination and consultation for bronchial asthma
About 3.5 million Vietnamese people have asthma.
In response to the Global Asthma Day 2013, within the framework of the activities of the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Asthma Prevention Project (COPD), the Center for Allergy and Clinical Immunology of Bach Mai Hospital in collaboration with the Respiratory Center and the Pediatrics Department of Bach Mai Hospital will organize free examination and consultation on Asthma for the Hanoi area and some neighboring provinces.
Examination time is all day on April 20, 2013, morning from 8:00 - 11:30, afternoon from 13:30 - 16:00. Location: Great hall and doctor's hall, 2nd floor, Viet-Nhat building, Bach Mai Hospital, 78 Giai Phong street, Hanoi.

Bronchial asthma (HPQ, English: Asthma) is a common chronic respiratory disease in the world. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there are currently more than 300 million people in the world with this disease and the number of people with the disease is increasing. It is predicted that by 2020, there will be about 400 million people with HPQ. In Vietnam, according to the results of the topic "The current status of bronchial asthma in Vietnam in 2010" by authors Tran Thuy Hanh, Nguyen Van Doan, the study was conducted in 7 provinces representing ecological regions in the country with 19,461 subjects interviewed and screened, the rate of HPQ was found to be 3.9%, equivalent to about 3.5 million Vietnamese people with HPQ. The control status as well as access to modern treatment methods are still limited and the need for propaganda and education about HPQ in the community is necessary and urgent to increase understanding of HPQ and control HPQ in the community.
