Comrade Nguyen Tiem was born on November 10, 1912, with the alias Quang, Cat, he was enlightened about the revolution early, participating in the patriotic movement. Although young, comrade Nguyen Tiem was trusted by the Central Branch of Central Vietnam to be appointed to the Provisional Provincial Executive Committee of Nghe An in 1930. In October 1930, he was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, when he was only 18 years old. In 1931, he was elected to the Standing Committee of the Central Party Committee, in charge of propaganda work. He was captured by the enemy and sacrificed at Lao Bao prison, Quang Tri province when he was just 20 years old. In recognition of the great contributions and sacrifices of a revolutionary leader, the Party and State recognized the Memorial House of Comrade Nguyen Tiem as a national historical and cultural relic.
Inspecting the restoration of comrade Nguyen Tiem's memorial house
Currently, the restoration and embellishment of the relic is being urgently accelerated by the authorities of Nghe An province. The memorial house of comrade Nguyen Tiem is located on an area of 1,600 square meters, invested by the People's Committee of Nam Dan district, with a total cost of 3.4 billion VND. The project was restored to its original state, with ancient architecture of the early 19th century, including 5 compartments and 2 backs, with a cupboard to avoid floods. Up to now, the basic construction items have been completed. According to the program, the 100th anniversary of the birth of comrade Nguyen Tiem will be held on November 9, 2012. During the inspection at the memorial house of comrade Nguyen Tiem, comrade Tran Hong Chau directed the People's Committee of Nam Dan district to coordinate with the departments and contractors to urgently complete all items so that the celebration ceremony can take place successfully./.
