(Baonghean.vn) - According to the forecast of the Central Hydrometeorological Center, storm No. 11 with the international name Nari is entering the Central region of our country. To ensure the safety of fishermen operating in fishing grounds, Quynh Luu district as well as coastal districts of Nghe An province are actively directing localities and Border Guard stations in the area to urgently call on owners of operating vehicles to return to the safest place to avoid and shelter from the storm.
While fishing in the East Sea, Mr. Ho Su Nha - owner of the NA94469TS vessel with a capacity of 420CV in Quynh Nghia commune, received news of a new storm. Immediately, he and all the crew members on the vessel quickly gathered their nets, fishing equipment and returned to the mainland to avoid the storm. Early in the morning of October 13, his fishing vessel docked at Lach Quen port. Although his fishing vessel had just gone out to sea to fish, when he heard news of a new storm, he did not delay and quickly steered the vessel back to the port to avoid the storm.
Mr. Ho Su Nha said: "Hearing the Coastal Information Station predicting storm No. 11 would enter the East Sea, the crew members gathered together to take shelter from the storm. The storm will hit the Central region in 2 days, so the crew members rushed to return early, first to ensure safety, second to avoid the storm at sea to ensure the safety of the crew members."
Not only Ho Su Nha's fishing boat, but currently, all fishing boats in the East Sea are urgently looking for ways to return to a safe place to avoid the storm. Phan Minh Tai, a fisherman from Quynh Tien commune, who just arrived at Lach Quen port at 4:00 p.m. on October 13, said that immediately after receiving a call from the Duyen Hai radio station and Border Guard Station 148 informing him that storm No. 11 had formed and was approaching the East Sea of our country, Tai and all the crew members on the boat were casting their nets to catch a relatively large catch of fish, urgently packing up their nets, tools, and then starting the engine to return to Lach Quen port for shelter. Thanks to the urgent work and timely calls for boats in advance, most of the boats of Quynh Luu fishermen are returning to ports and estuaries to avoid the storm.

Immediately after receiving news of storm No. 11, Major Hoang Van Ha - Deputy Head of Lach Quen Control Station was on duty 24/7 to grasp the storm's developments. At the same time, he controlled the number of ships anchored to have a timely call-out plan. Major, Hoang Van Ha - Deputy Head of Lach Quen Control Station, Border Guard Station 148 said: "Currently, our station is focusing on monitoring the storm's developments and communicating with the owners of the ships to call on all means of transport to return to a safe storm shelter."
Currently, Border Guard Station 148, located in Quynh Thuan commune, Quynh Luu district, is managing two control stations: Lach Quen Control Station and Lach Thoi Control Station. Lach Quen Control Station alone manages 695 vehicles with nearly 4,400 workers. As of 2:00 p.m. on October 13, the Station still had 186 vehicles with 2,264 workers on their way to shore and Lach Thoi Control Station had also called 148 vehicles with 1,184 workers to shore. To continue calling on the remaining vessels operating at sea to promptly return to storm shelters, Border Guard Station 148 has notified the owners of the vessels by phone or via the walkie-talkie of the vessel-to-vehicle teams so that the team leaders of those teams can promptly notify the fishermen.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quynh Luu district added: "To respond to storm 11, the district's Flood and Storm Prevention Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 11, dated October 12, 2013, requesting all measures to contact and call on fishing boats still fishing offshore to return to safe shelters. Directing the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station together with communes with anchorage areas to guide boats to anchor safely when returning to port; directing localities with lakes and dams to urgently check the situation of lakes and dams, the water storage situation to have plans to prevent floods and storms as well as take precautions when there is heavy rain, ensuring the best safety for people's lives and property..."
According to forecasts, storm No. 11 is active in the southeast area of Hoang Sa archipelago, with the strongest wind near the storm center at level 12-13 (118-149 km/h), gusts increasing to level 15-16.
Next, the storm is likely to change direction to move between West and West Northwest, traveling 10-15km per hour. By October 14, the storm will be about 100km east of the coast of Quang Tri - Quang Ngai provinces. The strongest wind near the storm center is level 12-13, gusting to level 15-16.
Due to the influence of the storm, the sea area east of the northern and central East Sea has strong winds of level 8-9, the area near the eye of the storm has winds of level 11-12, gusting to level 13-14. The sea area of Hoang Sa archipelago has winds gradually increasing to level 8, then increasing to level 10-11, the area near the eye of the storm has winds of level 12-13, gusting to level 15-16.
