After the provincial Veterinary Department provided 60 liters of Bencocid chemicals, the authorities sprayed disinfectants, spread lime powder in the epidemic area, set up 4 checkpoints with 24/7 staff to prevent and strictly prohibit the trading and transportation of pigs and pig products in and out of the epidemic area, posted signs to guide people to avoid the epidemic area; and closely monitored the epidemic situation at the farming households.

Mr. Tran Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, said: Along with the measures to control the epidemic, the district and communes have organized well the propaganda work on mass media about the dangers of the epidemic and the prevention measures so that people know and proactively prevent the epidemic. At the same time, closely monitor the epidemic situation at the livestock farming households. Detect the epidemic early, handle the outbreak in a small area, promptly report to the District Steering Committee and the veterinary sector. When detecting vehicles transporting pigs from other areas without origin, without quarantine certificates, they will be temporarily detained and handled according to regulations.

In particular, strictly report the situation of livestock and poultry epidemics to the Veterinary Station at 4:00 p.m. every day. Any unit that detects and reports the epidemic late, allowing the epidemic to spread widely, must be responsible to the District People's Committee.
Information from the Hung Nguyen District Veterinary Station said: On the afternoon of October 18, vaccines to prevent blue ear disease will be transferred to vaccinate the entire pig herd in the epidemic area and adjacent areas on the morning of October 19.
