Urgent construction of Prex Vinh export garment factory
(Baonghean) SAfter Tet holidays with their families, construction workers of Prex Vinh Export Garment Factory in Lac Son Small and Medium Industrial Park (Do Luong) are working hard with high enthusiasm to soon put the factory into operation.
Mr. Nguyen The Trung, from Nghi Loc, just finished celebrating Tet with his family and was present at the construction site. He said: "This year, the company gave us 9 days off to celebrate Tet with our family. From the 9th day of Tet, my colleagues and I took the bus to work according to the construction site's regulations." Mr. Trung's team of 16 workers are all from Nghi Loc. In addition to clothes and tools, the "luggage" they brought with them included banh chung and banh tet sent by their relatives.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, construction engineer of Oc Dao Trading and Service Co., Ltd. said: "Currently, we are mobilizing human resources and machinery to start the year early to complete the factory's items and put the factory into operation soon. Currently, we are focusing on building production lines, operating houses, and garages."
Prex Vinh export garment factory has a total investment capital of 11.6 million USD equivalent to 222 billion VND, covering an area of 7.2 hectares in Lac Son commune. In order for the factory to be built quickly and on schedule, Do Luong district has well resolved administrative procedures, cleared and handed over the land to create conditions for businesses to invest with peace of mind. Prex Vinh Company Limited is the first investor from Korea to build a factory in Do Luong.
It is expected that by April 2012 the factory will be operational, producing over 3 million products each year including garments, swimwear and leather and footwear products. This is considered the first large-scale factory in Do Luong. Construction began in April 2011 and has now reached 75% of the construction progress. Along with speeding up the construction progress of the factory, Prex Vinh Company Limited has just started recruiting workers and started production. To date, the company has recruited and trained over 900 workers.
Another new spring has come, Prex Vinh Export Garment Factory is opening a new direction in vocational training, solving employment and increasing income for rural workers, first of all contributing to promoting the socio-economy of Do Luong district.
