Khanh Hoa compiles history of Truong Sa island district
On August 14, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review 10 years of implementing Directive No. 15-CT/TW, dated August 28, 2002 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Strengthening and improving the quality of research and compilation of the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam."

At the conference, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee set a target of basically completing the compilation of history at commune, ward and town levels by 2020; most departments, branches and organizations in the province will complete the compilation of traditional history or yearbooks of their units.
In particular, Khanh Hoa will collect documents, research and compile the history of Truong Sa island district, and will further promote the propaganda and education of local history to party members and people of all walks of life.
According to the assessment at the conference, after 10 years of implementing Directive 15-CT/TW, the work of researching, compiling, propagating and educating revolutionary history of localities, traditional history of departments, branches, unions and establishments has had remarkable development.
The Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has collected documents and compiled many valuable publications, such as "History of the Communist Party of Vietnam in Khanh Hoa Province 1975-2005," "Khanh Hoa 350 years of formation and development," "Proceedings of the scientific conference 60 years since Uncle Ho arrived in Cam Ranh Bay"...
The district Party Committee and its affiliated Party Committees have compiled and published more than 20 valuable books on local history; departments and branches have also compiled and published 15 high-quality publications, which have become propaganda and educational materials on revolutionary traditions, contributing to Party building work.
In particular, Khanh Hoa province has supported each commune, ward and town with 30-50 million VND from the budget for units to collect documents, research and compile their local revolutionary history. Thanks to that, nearly 60 communes and wards have completed the compilation process so far./.
