Khanh Hoa compiles the history of Truong Sa island district.

On August 14th, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Directive No. 15-CT/TW, dated August 28, 2002, of the Central Party Secretariat on "Strengthening and improving the quality of research and compilation of the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam."

At the conference, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee set the goal of striving to basically complete the compilation of the history of communes, wards, and towns by 2020; and for most departments, agencies, and organizations in the province to complete the compilation of their traditional history or commemorative yearbooks.

In particular, Khanh Hoa will collect documents, research, and compile the history of Truong Sa island district, and will further promote the dissemination and education of local history to Party members and all segments of the population.

According to assessments at the conference, over the 10 years of implementing Directive 15-CT/TW, the work of researching, compiling, disseminating, and educating about the revolutionary history of localities, the traditional history of departments, agencies, mass organizations, and grassroots organizations has made significant progress.

The Propaganda Department of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee has organized the collection of documents and compiled many valuable publications, such as "History of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam 1975-2005," "Khanh Hoa 350 Years of Formation and Development," "Proceedings of the Scientific Conference on the 60th Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Visit to Cam Ranh Bay," etc.

The district Party committees and subordinate Party committees have compiled and published more than 20 valuable books on local history; departments and agencies have also compiled and published 15 high-quality publications, becoming materials for propaganda and education on revolutionary traditions, contributing to Party building work.

In particular, Khanh Hoa province has provided each commune, ward, and town with 30-50 million VND from its budget to support them in collecting documents, researching, and compiling their local revolutionary history. As a result, nearly 60 communes and wards have completed the compilation process to date.
