Inauguration of the memorial stele to comrade Phan Thai At

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 28, at the Phan Huu family church in Linh Son commune, Anh Son district, the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee coordinated with the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and Anh Son district to organize the inauguration ceremony of the stele in honor of comrade Phan Thai At - former Standing Member of the Central Region Party Committee - Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee in 1931; former Secretary of the Red Farmers' Association of Nghe An province, Secretary of the first Indochinese Communist Party cell in Anh Son.

Previously, on the afternoon of May 27, comrade Pham Thanh Hai - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of Quang Ngai Province, together with representatives of Anh Son district leaders, offered incense at the tomb of comrade Phan Thai At and the national historical site of Hieu Yen Xuan.

In order to show gratitude, commemorate and honor the great contributions of comrade Phan Thai At, the Standing Committee of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee coordinated with Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and Anh Son district to build a memorial stele for comrade Phan Thai At at the Phan family's great temple, in village 6, Linh Son commune (Anh Son).

Construction of the stele began on March 16, 2015, with a height of 3.5m, a width of 1.5m, and made of a single block of Thanh Hoa green stone with a total investment of nearly 100 million VND.

The memorial stele of comrade Phan Thai At is a meaningful work in implementing the morality of "when drinking water, remember its source", contributing to educating revolutionary traditions for cadres, party members, people of all walks of life, especially the young generation of the two twinned provinces of Quang Ngai and Nghe An.

Nghia Hanh district, Quang Ngai province donated a computer room worth 100 million VND to Phan Thai At Secondary School.

On this occasion, Anh Son district held a ceremony to announce the decision to change the name of Linh Son Secondary School to Phan Thai At Secondary School and Nghia Hanh district, Quang Ngai province (twinning with Anh Son district) presented the school with a computer room worth 100 million VND.
