Inauguration of Nam Pong Hydropower Project

(Baonghean) -On the morning of January 10, ZA HUNG Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony of Nam Pong Hydropower Plant. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of provincial departments and branches and leaders of Quy Chau district.

The Nam Pong Hydropower Project was started in late 2010, with Za Hung Joint Stock Company as the investor. The total investment of the project is 759 billion VND. With a capacity of 30MW, the completed plant will supply the national grid with an annual electricity output of 130 million kWh, generating a revenue of about 140 billion VND, and contributing 25 billion VND to the State budget.

Nam Pong Hydropower Project stretches across Chau Hanh and Chau Phong communes, at an elevation of 267m and has a basin area of ​​354km2. Up to this point, the construction items of Nam Pong Hydropower Project have been completed, ensuring the right progress and officially operating, connecting to the national grid; generating 10.6 million Kw, revenue of nearly 18 billion VND.
