Inauguration of the memorial for martyrs of the transport sector at Dong Loc T-junction

.On July 22, the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Transport of Ha Tinh held an inauguration ceremony for the Monument to Martyrs of the Transport Industry at Dong Loc T-junction.

The project was inaugurated on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2012); the 44th anniversary of the victory at Dong Loc T-junction, with the moral of "When drinking water, remember its source" to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation.

Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang and leaders of Ha Tinh province cut the ribbon to inaugurate the project.

The Monument to Heroes and Martyrs of the Transport Industry was built on the old stele house area, expanding the scale to 2,960 square meters, with space for a ceremony yard, an incense offering yard...

The project includes: a 9.68m high symbolic monument with a surface area of ​​256 m2; 14 memorial steles measuring 2.5 m high and 1.5 m wide... The total investment of the project is over 14 billion VND, a place to register and commemorate 842 heroes and martyrs of the transport sector who sacrificed their lives in the resistance war against the US to save the country in Ha Tinh.

The project started on August 3, 2011, with the Ha Tinh Department of Transport as the investor, directed by the Government, the Ministry of Transport, and the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, and assigned to the Ha Tinh Department of Transport to directly organize the construction.
