Inauguration of King Ho Temple and Ho Family Ancestor Worship Ceremony

(Baonghean.vn) - On February 1 and 2, 2012, in Ngoc Son commune, Quynh Luu district (Nghe An), the Ho Family Liaison Committee of Vietnam, the Ho Family Liaison Committee of Nghe An and the Ho family lineage in Quynh Doi, Quynh Luu held the inauguration ceremony of the main hall - Ho King Temple and the Ho Family Ancestor Worship Ceremony of Vietnam.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Mr. Ho Quang Loi - Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee - Head of the Propaganda Department of the Hanoi Party Committee, Major General Ho Ngoc Lam - Ministry of Public Security, Doctor of Law Dinh Hao, Lawyer Jonathans in California - USA, Investment Consultant in Vietnam, Hoang Trong Kim - Director of Nghe An Department of Construction, Ho Family Liaison Committee of Vietnam, Mr. Ho Huy - Chairman of the Board of Directors - General Director of Mai Linh Group, leaders of Quynh Luu district and many descendants, in-laws of the Ho family nationwide.

The inauguration ceremony took place with many exciting activities, including 2 main parts: the ceremony and the festival. The ceremony included the following contents: the proclamation ceremony and the great ceremony to worship King Ho, which were solemnly and methodically organized according to traditional Vietnamese customs and etiquette; the ceremony to honor groups and individuals with outstanding contributions and merits to the country and their families. The festival included cultural exchange activities, poetry reading, bamboo dancing, campfire, drawing lots, traditional storytelling, and art performances by the Thanh Hoa Tuong Troupe, Nghe An Folk Song Troupe, and Military Region 4 Art Troupe.

The King Ho Temple was started in February 2011. After nearly 1 year of construction, the first phase has been completed, including: 1 main hall, made of ironwood according to the architecture of the Ho Dynasty, leveling the ground, with a total cost of over 12 billion VND. From now until 2013, the Ho Family Ancestor Temple will continue to be constructed in phase 2, with a total estimated cost of over 50 billion VND. This is a historical, cultural and spiritual project, a tribute to ancestors, a return to the roots of the people in the region and the descendants of the Ho Family in Vietnam. At the inauguration ceremony, the Ho Family Liaison Committee of Vietnam organized a ceremony to launch the offering to continue completing the second phase of the Ho King Temple project.
