Inauguration of two US-funded medical stations in Hung Nguyen.
(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of September 26, at Hung Tan commune, the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen district held an inauguration ceremony and received two medical stations in Hung Tan and Hung Phu communes sponsored by the US Pacific Command.
Attending the ceremony, on the US side, there was Mr. Earnest Lee, Military and Defense Attaché - US Embassy in Vietnam; on the Nghe An province side, there was comrade Thai Van Hang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of departments and branches in the province; leaders of Hung Nguyen district and a large number of people of Hung Tan commune.
With the consent of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, the US Pacific Command has funded the construction of two medical stations, combined with flood and storm response and natural disaster mitigation for the government and people of Hung Tan and Hung Phu communes, Hung Nguyen district; The total support cost is 16,599 million VND. After 9 months of construction, by September 2013, these two projects were completed and handed over to Nghe An province and Hung Nguyen district.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Thai Van Hang, on behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province and the people of the area benefiting from the project, expressed his gratitude to the sponsor for this meaningful support; at the same time, he requested Hung Nguyen district to promote the value of the project that has been built and installed, continue to complete the protective fence system, medicinal herb garden and green tree system to ensure primary health care and rescue, flood prevention and natural disaster mitigation for the people./.
